Shake Down

Today was the shake down day at Moth Worlds. Because the Moth is such a highly technical boat, a lot of time is spent tweaking and repairing to achieve maximum performance.

Brad chose to replace the wing on the centerboard. This is the piece that lifts the Moth and allows it to foil. It's very important to set the right pitch on the wing because if you're a bit off, you're either not foiling, or doing wheelies. Either way, you're ending up in the water.

Glenn took a rest and recovery day to mentally and physically prepare for the start of Moth Worlds. However he did rig up and raced two practice races this afternoon.

With their boats tuned and ready to go, the PUMA Moths are ready for a start tomorrow.
