It seems as though the Albatross may have read my blog from a few nights ago because yesterday they decided to come out and put on a show for us. As we approached Cape Horn yesterday,
il mostro must have crossed a current line because out of nowhere birds of all shapes and sizes appeared wheeling and soaring all around the boat, in amongst the gulls and petrels were numerous albatross. I spent a good while trying to get a shot off...it is really hard to shoot fast moving birds from the deck of a Volvo 70 that is doing 20+ knots with a point and shoot camera. So I took a different angle and decided to shoot Albatross sightings (see pics). A much simpler undertaking and easier to get some branding in the shot!
