Sid Gavignet was driving along in about 25 knots of with no drama. Afterwards Sid made the comment: "It just came off in my hand." He was able to continue driving using just the spokes while the rest of the team sprung into action and fitted the emergency tiller. Once Erle Williams had the boat under control with the tiller he was able to make the quote " It's a long way to Rio like this." - Rick
