At 04:00 GMT today, il mostro entered 'StealthPlay', where the team has decided to hide their position from the rest of the fleet – and us – for the next 12 hours. Therefore the boat's position is not listed on the leader board, and is instead marked by an intriguing 'S'.
'StealthPlay' is a new initiative introduced by the race organisers for the Volvo Ocean Race. In order to deploy a StealthPlay, Kenny and the team will have called Race Headquarters just before 0400 to say that they would like to play 'Stealth' and by hiding from the other boats, who won't be able to see them, they are able to make a secret tactical move and perhaps take a different route to the bunch to Cape Town. The Volvo Ocean Race Headquarters in the UK will always know where the boat is for safety reasons, but this information is never made public. Each team is allowed to go into 'StealthPlay' once during each of the long legs of the race, and we're the second team this leg to do so.
Check back to the race tracker at 16:00 GMT to see what they've been up to and whether – perhaps – they have gained or lost any places?!
